Logo design and marketing materials for the University of Bristol; Department of Exercise, Nutrition and Health Sciences.
THE BRIEF
The University of Bristol (Department of Exercise, Nutrition and Health Sciences) were launching a local initiative in conjunction with the British Heart Foundation to promote a healthier lifestyle in the Southmead area of Bristol. The initiative, entitled Fit & Fab, was aimed to encourage local people to increase their amount of exercise by joining activity groups at the local leisure centre. They required a logo and several other pieces of marketing material to be designed to promote the initiative.
THE SOLUTION
The University of Bristol had identified their target audience as being mothers with school-aged children. The logo and marketing were designed specifically to appeal to this group and all the work has a ‘local’ feel (as opposed to a polished corporate finish). The resulting designs portray the local classes as being fun, friendly and suitable for all levels of ability.
