B&LR Consulting is a service provider to the built environment sector. They required a bespoke WordPress website that would allow them to update content themselves in-house. The website had to be mobile- and tablet-friendly. B&LR already had a logo and icons – the website was designed to fit with their current brand guidelines.
I designed a clean, corporate website which fitted B&LR's current brand.
I proceeded to build the website in HTML 5 / CSS 3 which was then converted to a bespoke WordPress theme. The website adapts to the screen size of the user's interface. This is called responsive or adaptive web design – it allows for mobile and tablet users to easily read the website without having to 'pinch and zoom'.
Once the website was complete, I provided a PDF instruction document – this featured step-by-step instructions on how to login to the website and update the content.
If you look at the website on a desktop computer, try changing the width of your internet browser to see how the website adapts to your screen size. This will demonstrate the effectiveness of responsive web design.
